The return of the Cretan Vineyard in Athens

The winemakers of Crete and the Cretan wine exhibition "Oinotika" are coming to Athens for the 5th year for their annual rendezvous with the Athenian public.
After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the winemakers of Crete, with the support of the Region of Crete, are returning to the capital and invite you to the Cretan wine exhibition "Oinotika", on Monday 31 October at the Athenaeum InterContinental Hotel, on Syngrou Avenue.
31 wineries from all over Crete carry 11 indigenous varieties, 7 PDO and 6 PGI zones in their luggage and come to the capital to meet with the Athenian public and food and beverage professionals. Wine Crete invites you to discover the unique aromas of Vidianos, Liatiko, Romeikos, Vilana and many other ambassadors of the Cretan vineyard. More than 300 labels of Cretan Vineyard from native and international varieties will be available for visitors to taste.
The extroversion of the Cretan wineries continued to be dynamic during the pandemic, as they did not stop promoting the native varieties of the island and the unique character of the Cretan vineyard with events both within and outside the borders:
PARTICIPATION IN GREEK AND INTERNATIONAL WINE EXHIBITIONS
Cretan wineries were present at important wine events such as PROWEIN, the London Wine Fair and Oenorama, spreading the quality of Cretan wine to an international audience as well as to Greek professionals and wine lovers. At the same time, the very successful Cretan wine exhibitions in Crete and the first Oenotika exhibition in Cyprus continued, with a significant response from the industry and the wine lovers of the Megalosian island.
FOREIGN PROFESSIONALS' FAMILIARISATION TRIPS
As part of the promotion and promotion of the Protected Geographical Indication "Crete", important wine professionals, journalists and sommeliers from the USA and the UK visited the island and toured wineries, vineyards and cultural heritage sites. The aim of the activities is to attract even more foreign professionals to the dissemination of Cretan wine worldwide.
