The supplier Vinventions collects its caps to make ice buckets. They are distributed by the company Italesse, specialized in wine service products.

For more than ten years, Vinventions has been collecting its corks in its main markets. "We built up a considerable stock of used caps and wanted to recycle them into a product that would make sense to our customers. This is where the idea of creating an ice bucket was born," explains Stéphane Vidal, Managing Director Europe of Vinventions, in a press release.

To carry out this circular economy project, the cork maker has partnered with Retorno, a Belgian company specializing in the recovery of recyclable materials.

"In 2021, 84 tons of our corks for still wines were collected in France through our various partnerships with charities such as France Cancer as well as with the French wine merchant Nicolas in more than 500 stores," adds Romain Thomas, manager of the Nomacorc range, who indicates that sales of Vinny buckets will allow Vinvention to expand its cork collection program over the years.

To make this bucket available to the wine industry, Vinventions and Retorno have partnered with Italesse, a supplier of glasses, wine buckets, or decanters. The product can be customized at the customer's request.
