The Mondial des Vins Blancs Strasbourg returns with 25th anniversary

Change of season for the annual meeting of the best white wines on the planet and return to the traditional spring dates. The competition Mondial Des Vins Blancs de Strasbourg will take place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 April 2023.

In 1998 the international competition "Riesling of the World" was born in Strasbourg. For 25 years, many grape varieties, vineyards and estates from all over the world have been celebrated through enriched competitions from edition to edition.

The latest development is the opening in 2022 of the Mondial to orange wine, which according to the OIV definition is a white wine with maceration and therefore legitimate to compete.

Strasbourg Events team, Director Christine Collins and PR Frédérique Pierre, has some nice surprises in store for this anniversary for the participating estates and our committed partners.

As for the expert judges and journalists present in April, an exceptional program awaits them!

The Mondial des Vins Blancs de Strasbourg is the only competition in the world dedicated to all the diversity of white wines on the planet sponsored by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) and member of VINOFED (World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions).

1 single competition, 12 categories

As always, the Mondial des Vins Blancsde Strasbourg is two days where no less than 12 categories are present (Chardonnay, Chenin, Gewurztraminer, Muscat, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon, Sylvaner, Viognier, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko Vidiano and white blends).
