VorOina, the wine event of the association "Winemakers of North Greece" takes place on Saturday 24 September, at its "home", at Pier 1 in the Port of Thessaloniki.

It is the most unique wine event in Greece, a modern version of the traditional wine festival, addressed to the general public, both connoisseurs and non connoisseurs of our perennial wine heritage.

Besides, VorOina, like all the events of the association "Winemakers of North Greece", aims to develop the wine culture in our country, through the tasting of top wines and wine distillates, which will offer the acquaintance with the northern Greek vineyard, the varieties cultivated and especially their creators.

Note that in the exhibition table layout at the Voroina, the winemakers' tables will be arranged according to regions so that the public can taste common varieties, terroir and wine styles together.

At the winemakers' tables, the wine wealth of Northern Greece! White, rosé, red and even orange wines, sparkling, dry, sweet and spirits, new and old vintages, experimental, classic or new entry labels, from the country's top wineries.

In the parallel programme of the event, two thematic pavilions will operate for even more wine enjoyment:

In addition, we invite the public to participate in the photo contest we propose, imaginatively titled "Photograph the label without touching the bottle"! The competition will run from 18:00 to 21:00 and at 21:30 the awards ceremony will take place where the first three winners will receive six different bottles of Voronoi as prizes.
