Mr. Thierry Fritsch 

Thierry Fritsch, the head oenologist and chief wine educator of the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace (CIVA), the regional wine regulatory and promotional body of the Alsace wine region. Born and raised in Alsace, Thierry is an agricultural engineer and oenologist, and has an MBA from the Business School of Lyon. Prior to joining the CIVA in 1997, he worked as Chef de Cave for Pierre Sparr and Josmeyer in Alsace.

Mr. Thierry is a lively and fascinating guest. He shared so much about the region and the innovations in the works!

 
 
 
Chilean sommelier Cecilia Alarcon will host a tasting on Saturday, October 2 at 14 pm at a MASTERCLASS ?? during #lemondialdesvinsblancsstrasbourg
On the program, 5 wines from Chile.
 
Mrs  Cecilia Alarcón with over 25 years of international experience, initially worked with studies on policies for small and medium-sized industries (SMes) in the Chilean wine sector, including research for the United Nations Organisations in Chile and Italy.
 
As professional Sommelier, since 2006 she has led the organisation of technical tours for professionals in the food and wine sector, wine tourism, events and wine tastings, mainly in Italy and Chile.

She is part of the judges in prestigious international wines competitions such as the “Mondial des Vins Blancs of Strasbourg”, VINARIUM Wine Content in Bucharest, International Wine City Challenge -Città del Vino-, “Mondial des Vins Extremes”, and the International Guide 5StarWines in Italy, and has also been designated as Chilean Wine Ambassador.

In 2019, Cecilia founded the enterprise “Enogastronomy Consulting S.p.A”, to develop projects focusing on the promotion of wine tourism, education, wine business. She Organise wine study trips, wine business/B2B meetings, and coordinates events and guided wine tastings for professional and wine lovers. Furthermore, connecting private and public sector, to promote wine regions, winegrowers, and the culture around wine and gastronomy, is part of the initiatives of the entrepreneurship.

Cecilia is part of the International Network of Women and Wine, as member of the “Associazione Nazionale le Donne del Vino”- Italia, and International Delegate of “Mujeres del Vino” (MUV) - Chile. Moreover, she is a member of the Italian Sommelier Foundation (FIS) and the National Organisation of Cheese Tasters (ONAF)
