Allwinestories, the exclusive media partner of Greek Wine Day 2025 for Greece, presents the wineries participating in this year's event.
On the occasion of Greek Wine Day 2025 in Florence, NICO LAZARIDI participates in one of the most important events promoting Greek wine in Italy, presenting its multifaceted journey shaped by 35 years of creativity, dedication, and innovation.
At the heart of this year’s participation is the 35th anniversary of the first vintage of Magic Mountain, the first Greek icon wine that helped redefine the identity of modern Greek winemaking and brought the region of Drama to the forefront of the country’s wine map.
To mark this milestone, the winery unveils the “Magic Mountain Pyramid” – a rare, limited-edition collector’s set of 15 red Magic Mountain bottles, released in just 12 sets worldwide. The pyramid includes one 12L bottle (vintage 2007), two 5L bottles (2011), four 3L bottles (2013), and eight 1.5L bottles (2016).Among the new wines being presented for the first time in Florence is the Amphora Nico Lazaridi, a special Assyrtiko fermented and aged in handcrafted clay amphorae – a limited-production label that embodies authenticity and elegance.

The heart of the company beats at the οκChâteau Nico Lazaridi winery in Agora, Drama, home to its flagship and premium wines, such as the ultra-premium Perpetuus series (white from Semillon and Chardonnay, red from Mavroudi and Cabernet Franc), the iconic Magic Mountain (white & red), the classic Château Nico Lazaridi (white, rosé, red), and the vibrant Cavalieri line, featuring varietals like Assyrtiko, Malagousia, and Merlot.
At its second winery, Mackedon, located at the foot of Mount Pangaion, the company produces more contemporary-styled wines, such as The Black Sheep(white, rosé, red), Lion D’ Or (Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon), and the modern series Queen, King and Jack of Hearts . Several of these wines are also available with screw caps, responding to market trends.

With a strong focus on native Greek varieties, NICO LAZARIDI is expanding its winemaking activities to thePDO zones of Naoussa and Amynteo. From Amynteon come wines such as the premium rosé Evil Eye and the sparkling Solitaire labels, while in Naoussa, the winery produces the Cavalieri Xinomavro. Two new labels – one white and one red – are also set to be released soon.
A highlight this year was the company being honored as“WTA Public Voting Winner” at the Wine Travel Awards 2024–2025, a distinction that reinforces its position as a top wine tourism destination, with expected visitor numbers exceeding 8,000 for the year.
With a clear vision for creating wines that are contemporary, authentic, and globally recognized, NICO LAZARIDI continues its dynamic journey. And Florencestands as a special new stop — a bridge between Greek wine heritage and the international wine-loving public.
