FOR A SLOVAK WIN.E

The Mondial des Vins Blancs Strasbourg – the only competition in the world entirely dedicated to the diversity of white wines – took place on April 5 and 6, 2025 at the Strasbourg Congress Centre.

Organized under OIV patronage and as a VINOFED member, this 27th edition focused on excellence and trends.

 

Grand Jury Prize Winner:
A naturally sweet blended wine from Tokaj, aged 22 years, won top honors.
Wine: Tokajsky vyber 6 putnovy 2003
Winery: OSTROZOVIC SPOL sro, Velka Trna, Slovakia

Described as:

"A magnificent brown color with caramel and orange highlights, beautiful brilliance. A perfect, intense palate, with a beautiful balance between fruit and acidity."

Food pairing suggested (France): Duck foie gras with fig confit.
