A youth who has talent. Crowned best student sommelier of the southwestern terroirs and winner of the Château Gassier challenge in 2020, then best student sommelier of France and finalist of the best young sommelier of France in 2021, Marie Wodecki stands out once again in a professional competition by removing the title of best young sommelier of France 2023. The one who discovered sommellerie when she was initially engaged on the path of gourmet pastry confirms her propensity for performance in competition, and wins the 2023 edition of the competition open to all sommeliers under 26 years old.

In Corsica

Since 1979, this competition organized by the Union de la sommellerie française (USDF) decides between the best young professionals. In office since September 2022 as a sommelier at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, Marie Wodecki stood out among the ten semi-finalists who competed on June 11 and 12 in Biguglia, Corsica. The Association of Corsican Sommeliers (ASC) had for the occasion concocted a program highlighting their island and Corsican specialties. Behind closed doors, the ten semi-finalists competed on the first day through theoretical and technical tests, before the three finalist candidates appeared on stage the next day.

Associated with this year's competition, the Lalique crystal factory offered the winner a 100-point decanter as a trophy. Already a finalist in the last edition of the competition in 2021, Marie Wodecki succeeds the previous winner Clément Delécluse.
