Koukoulithra Estate is based at Atsiki, in Lemnos island and participates in Le Mondial Des Vins Blancs, Strasbourg.

The company “N. Koukoulithras & Sons G.P.” is a family-owned business of second generation winemakers and fourth generation distillers, active since 1977 in Atsiki of Lemnos, producing and bottling the local refreshments “Krini”. The word Atsiki comes from the ancient name of Attica, which means open place, a unique settlement of Lemnos, with its fertile plain known as the richest village of the island. In this exquisite place was designed the small Winery “Koukoulithras Estate", a purely Family Business, with careful work, passion where it stands out for the production of fine wines.

Since 1995, the business also includes a distillery for tsipouro, while in 2008, the Koukoulithra family established a small modern winery. This winery, occupying an area of 500 m², has a facility for vinification, a bottling facility, a storage facility for raw materials, a storage room for ready products set at a stable temperature of +19°C, a chemical laboratory and a specially designed area for wine-tasting situated at the second floor. The family owns 120000 m² of privately-owned vineyards, of which 50000 are organic.

The philosophy of the winemaker Stelios Koukoulithras is high quality with unique "expressive" wines using sophisticated technological and winemaking techniques, which combined with respect for the environment lead to the best possible expression of the volcanic "terroir" for each of their vineyards.

Muscat of Lemnos wines that exude hints of apricot, mint, and spearmint. The mild-mannered way in which these wines express themselves allows for interesting forays into exotic cuisines, making a perfect match, for instance, with foie gras or a myriad of light desserts. Yet, even when served on its own, a well-chilled Muscat of Lemnos wine promises spirited fun, a chance to journey through thousands of years of historied winemaking embodied in the vibrant new wines of Greece.
