Alpha Estate: Winery of the Year at the USA Wine Ratings 2026

Five titles for Alpha Estate at this year's competition, highlighted by Winery of the Year—a distinction awarded to just one winery out of all entries.

Alpha Estate was named Winery of the Year at the USA Wine Ratings 2026, winning a total of five titles. The Winery of the Year award is presented to a single winery across all competition entries, regardless of country of origin.

Additionally, Alpha Estate was named Red Wine Producer of the Year, while three of its wines earned individual titles in their respective categories:

  • Ecosystem Malagouzia Single Block Latypes 2025, scoring 96 points and a Double Gold medal, was named Wine of the Year – Greece. This marks the second consecutive year this title has been awarded to an Alpha Estate wine, following the Ecosystem Xinomavro Reserve Vieilles Vignes Barba Yannis 2021, which received the same honor at the 2025 competition.
  • For the second consecutive year, Syrah Single Vineyard Turtles was recognized in its category. The 2023 vintage was named Shiraz of the Year, following the same achievement by the 2022 vintage the previous year.
  • Completing the five titles, Alpha Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2025 was named Sauvignon Blanc of the Year.

In total, 13 Alpha Estate wines earned distinctions at this year's event, with three receiving Double Gold medals:

  • Ecosystem Malagouzia Single Block Latypes 2025
  • Ecosystem Xinomavro Reserve Vieilles Vignes Barba Yannis 2022
  • Xinomavro Single Vineyard Hedgehog 2023

An Evaluation Focused on the U.S. Market

Organized by the Beverage Trade Network, the USA Wine Ratings evaluates wines through blind tastings conducted by U.S. retail professionals and Masters of Wine. Scoring is based on three parameters—quality, value for money, and packaging—aiming to assess not only the quality of the wine but also its commercial potential in the American market.
