John Barker hails from New Zealand, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in law and nursing from the University of Auckland. This PhD thesis was completed in partnership with the University of South France.

J.Barker’s connection with the OIV began in 2005 when he represented New Zealand, presenting on legal and economic matters related to wine.
