A job that is also a vocation and, at the same time, represents an opportunity to relaunch marginal territories. The case of Carlo Miraglia in Rotonda in Lucania, told by Rai.

The Professional Wine Shop is the link between wine production and the market. He is an interpreter of the beauty and goodness of Italy but can also represent, with his passion, a real stimulus for the revival of a territory. This is the case of Carlo Miraglia, who returned to his Lucania, to Rotonda, after many years spent abroad, to open "Pollino DiVino". The goal? Attracting tourists and wine lovers to the region thanks to the recovery of an ancient cellar concept, becoming an attractor capable of creating induced activities and making known a little-known corner of Italy.

During the pandemic, he decided to return to the territory of the Pollino Park to open a business that today, a few years later, proves to be successful, thanks to the resources of the Resto al Sud program.

Carlo, recently interviewed by Rai, is one of the virtuous examples of a professional wine shop, an ambassador of wine capable of facing the modern challenges of globalization and artificial intelligence because human value cannot be replaced.

For this reason, AEPI, the Association of Italian Professional Wine Shops, organizes the Best Professional Wine Shop in Italy award, which sees Carlo Miraglia among the 10 best wine shops by the glass. << The professional wine shop owner is much more than a wine seller. – Says AEPI President Filippo Gastaldi. – His ability is to interpret the customer's needs and provide strategic advice which, in the case of Miraglia, has extended to the territory. >>
